(Nov. 8, 2018) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District awarded a $425,000 contract to Ryba Marine Construction Co, for ecosystem restoration within the Stanford
Run Watershed, near Peninsula, Ohio.

An upgraded culvert will be installed to allow Stanford Run to flow under the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, allowing this tributary to re-connect to the Cuyahoga River.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provided funds for this project through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, and the project has been closely coordinated with the National Park Service – Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
