(Feb. 25, 2019) The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) is pleased to announce available funding through the Green Infrastructure Implementation Program. This program provides funding to implement green infrastructure best management practices to reduce stormwater and nutrient runoff to Lake Erie.
The Green Infrastructure Implementation Program has $265,000 available through the GLRI for competitive subgrants to implement green infrastructure projects in Southeast Michigan.
The goal of the program is to provide funding to counties, cities, villages, townships, intermediate school districts, and community colleges to construct green infrastructure techniques for environmental benefits, including stormwater runoff and nutrient loading reduction.
Projects can be submitted now through March 29, 2019, at 5 p.m.
