(Feb. 19, 2020) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its partners continue to support Great Lakes restoration and protection projects with GLRI funding. In 2019, more than 475 projects were supported which will fuel community revitalization efforts throughout the Great Lakes basin.
This week, as part of its 50th anniversary celebration, EPA is spotlighting actions that help protect America’s waters. Since its launch in 2010, the GLRI has funded more than 5,300 projects totaling more than $2.7 billion. Recently posted stories include nearly 500 projects funded by the GLRI in 2019.
