Department of Interior – Restoring Native Fish to the Great Lakes

The Department of Interior has published a special, 14-page feature on the restoration of native coregonine fishes in the winter issue of Newswave, a quarterly newsletter highlighting ocean, Great Lakes and coastal activities. These stories described the adaptive science-based approach to restoration that was endorsed by fishery managers across the Great Lakes (including 8 states, 3 U.S. tribal organizations and the province of Ontario). Activities are supported, in part, by Department of Interior agencies and funding through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
