runoff water flowing through a purpose-built barrier

The Great Lakes Regional Sediment Management Team is a collaboration of agencies including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Great Lakes Commission. It is working in partnership under the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative to facilitate transfer of knowledge about managing sediment and nutrient pollution between federal, state, and local agencies, non-governmental organizations, academia and industry.

This year, in lieu of an in-person workshop, the Great Lakes Regional Sediment Team will host a series of webinars each Tuesday in April at 2:00 p.m. EDT:

  • April 6 – urban stormwater and green infrastructure
  • April 13 – coastal systems and sediment transport
  • April 20 – habitat and restoration
  • April 27 – agricultural nonpoint source runoff
