On September 16, 2026, the Ohio Lake Erie Commission announced that they are now accepting applications for the Lake Erie Community Grant Program. Eligible projects should help strengthen communities, fuel long-term environmental and economic resilience across the Lake Erie region, and advance goals under the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
Powered by GLRI through a partnership with the U.S. EPA, these grants help local groups tackle priorities like cleaner water, healthier habitats, and more resilient coastlines. This round will offer grants between $150,000 and $350,000.
Communities and groups that are interested in applying for a grant are encouraged to contact the Commission with their ideas. Applications are due December 16.
